This is cool. MPeutz has been doing a great series of autopainter tutorials while you were gone, and there were requests for more wallpaper, too. :)

I used a bitmap to control the rotation of an indexed brush in this file: http://a.viary.com/artists/mpeutz/images/speaker
I found that it is touchy. You have to to be very precise to get the effect you want. I speculate the the brush's registration point is in the top right corner, and would be easier to control this effect if it was in the center. I can get most of the brushes to tile correctly if I shift the pattern 50 Horizontal and 50 vertical, but it messes up the pattern at the edge.

Yes I also noticed that there is something fishy. I definitely have to make a checkup on AutoPainter. Hmm - not sure though if that registration point is really in the upper left corner - I thought I had it in the middle, but I will check again. I think it might be that the rotation map color pickup point might be wrongly set in the upper left corner.
