This is wonderful - the regularity and variations, especially the orange shapes near the bottom that cut upwards and break the rule. You've really got an eye. (Artspeak = more than just craft.)

I was taking a look at this and noticed that you used fractal plasma and the mosaic hubs to create the various shapes. Why did you choose to do it this way?

I chose them to create random patterns. I kept changing the random seed in the Fractal plasma until I found a pattern that I liked. The mosaic was used to organize that randomness into a format that emulated the 8-bit look I wanted. By the way, Mario is the lead programmer for Peacock so he knows it inside and out. You should really look at his images.
