I haven't had a lot of time to explore the new tools. Why can't there be 26 hours in a day?
So here is an experiment with mapping bitmaps onto the coon patch. A incredibly awesome feature.

Unfortunately it gets pretty slow if you up the resolution (by changing cols/rows).

That's why I keep a low resolution while I set up the node then when I get it right I up it and let it render the image.

I sat down and diagrammed the points and tangent points yesterday so that I could visualize them. Then I realized that there's an option to "turn on guides"

I felt stupid.
