At Aviary, we like to ask the hard-hitting questions most journalists shy away from. Most importantly: We can put man on the moon, but we don't have frigging flying cars yet?!
Luckily, we don't just identify the problems - we also solve them.
This time around Aviary's resident industrial designer Meowza has drawn up a plan to unclog the world's highways and put flying metal projectiles in the hands of every man, woman and child.

We had so much fun playing with industrial car design, that we made another video as well:
Here's another example of Meowza changing an already sleek design by Ben Messmer of our friends at Local Motors.

These works made heavy use of color adjustments, blend modes, painting, transforming and sourcing.
Kudos to Parliament and Arcade Fire for the musical accompaniments!

This is simply awesome. Meowza you and Ben have a mojo goin' on. You have raised the bar for fun and transportation smiles :) Love the music, and never mind the typos. You guys rock.

I do not get the point of the wheel in the very front of the first car. Does it turn into a flying motorcycle? Its still cool.

Quite impressive. This looks like it is going to be awesome. Meowzas redesign of Messmers work is great. I hope that I don't have to wait to long to give this a try myself. Any ETA on this becoming available?

These flying cars could become possible in not so distant future thanks to Heim Theory. See that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heim_theory#Heim.27s_predictions_for_a_quantum_gravity_force and this also: http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/GSP/SEM0L6OVGJE_0.html http://space.newscientist.com/article/mg18925331.200 http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19225771.800 /J

The end result of the second car kinda looks like you just turned it blue & added wheel wells.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...Besides, they also added the cockpit.

Hmnn…a car plane! Yes it is! A car with the design like an airplane. Such a nice invention. Human did never really get tired of making new inventions. Well…as long as the innovations aid us in our goings-on they are highly accepted. Inventions are at times otherworldly and amazing, and at times very mundane. The U.S. is a land that has a long history of them. Some of America’s most famous inventions include things like bifocals, the polio vaccine, and some controversial ones as well. There have been a few in the last year or two which seem straight out of science fiction. A flying car that gets 35 mpg, which can fold its wings and fit into the average garage, and it goes for about $200,000. There’s also a GPS headset system that mounts directly to a cow’s head-now we can finally find where the beef is. No doubt that the rest of the century will reveal some other astonishing inventions.
